When the rest of the world is preparing for winters its spring in the land down under. Haven’t seen much of this huge country (or continent) except for a bit of Sydney and a lot of Melbourne. From whatever I have seen…. It’s a beautiful land with modest cities (by world standards) modest people and probably the best looking coastline in the world.
Cities are clean with great public transport systems…. It makes national headlines if a man is shot…. so virtually no crime to speak off (again by world standards)
People greet you with the classic Aussie…. Good Day! Or the How are Ya Mate! ... No matter what crime you commit you will not be hanged coz Australia does not have capital punishment. People are honest, hard working and simple.
Aussie’s love sports…. Cricket, Rugby, Footy, Football, Tennis, Hockey, Swimming, Motor racing etc….. You name it they play it and more importantly watch it with great enthusiasm. Mind you they are very good at most of the games they play.
Overall Australia comes of as a nation that knows its limitations, knows its strengths basically a country that has its heart in the right place…
After three years of living in Melbourne… Finally seems like it’s my home away from home… Lost and found myself here… If India is not in play then its Oz that I will be rooting for …
