Courage

In an exam in some obscure university. Students were asked to write a 300 word essay on “What is courage”. A student wrote “This is courage” and walked out. Apparently he got very good marks. I don’t know how true this story is but the point is courage comes in many forms and this was one of them.

The classic picture that comes to mind of courage is solider fighting a war. Yes it takes more than courage to stand and fight for your country knowing you can die. Besides this... courage is to fight your inner most fear. To stand firm when you see your worst fears coming true and live to tell the tale. Courage is to hold on when everything around you is falling apart. Courage is to stand and see the night through.

One of the highest forms of courage was displayed by MK Gandhi. Personally I am not a very big fan of him. But it takes courage of extreme levels to do what he did. Maybe that’s why he is GANDHI.
