Kya Peyenge aap Chai ya Coffee

What divides this world… Male female… East West… Socialist Capitalist .. Nah I think it is divided between people who like tea or coffee…

Before we start on this.. Let’s raid the wikipedia for a bit on both

Coffee was first consumed in the 9th century, when it was discovered in the highlands of Ethiopia. From there, it spread to Egypt and Yemen, and by the 15th century had reached Armenia, Persia, Turkey, and northern Africa. From the Muslim world, coffee spread to Italy, then to the rest of Europe and the Americas. Today, coffee is one of the most popular beverages worldwide.

Tea is one of the most widely-consumed beverages in the world, second only to water. It has a cooling, slightly bitter, astringent flavour. It has almost no carbohydrates, fat, or protein. Tea is a natural source of the amino acid theanine, methylxanthines such as caffeine and theobromine, and polyphenolic antioxidant catechins (often referred to as tannins).

So now that we know what we are talking about let me tell you what I know about these two beverages.

Coffee is a weekday drink. It’s the Monday morning hit that wakes you up. Its the pep you need before a meeting. It’s the reason for a break from your desk. Natives of Europe (except Britian), USA, South America, Canada have a preference for coffee. Coffee is the beverage around which multi billion dollar business have been built… Starbucks, Gloria jeans, Hudson coffee to name a few.. Asking a girl out for a cup of coffee hasn’t gone out of fashion as yet.. So latte, mocha, cappuccino, flat white.. Take your pic

Tea is weekends drink… Sunday morning tea at 11am with a newspaper is bliss.. If you like tea you’re likely to be from India, China, Japan, Britain… Tea is a relaxant.. You drink tea when you have time at hand.. That explains the elaborate tea ceremonies in Japan… There is herbal tea, green tea and of course chai… Chai is synonyms with tea in India but for the world it’s a special tea prepared with milk, ginger and cardamom…

You can say coffee is west and tea east…Only thing common between the two… they both give you bad breath :) … Personally I like them both… Why maybe coz Im in Australia… The west in the east
